El paisaje de Elsa Ottonello
Los paisajes de Elsa Ottonello son sutiles, porque no describe con detalle sus componentes, sino que busca plasmar la idiosincrasia de los mismos sin perfilar de manera detallada.
No trata de abarcar la evidencia paisajística, sino su esencia, reinterpretándola. Son como evocaciones sensibles y sensoriales que recuerdan aspectos de la conciencia, pensamientos y sensaciones contenidas en el perfume del aire del lugar.
Sus escenarios son desde paisajes y costa sureñas, el gran volcán a temáticas de acantilados, sin emplear colores excesivamente vivos, dado que prefiere suministrar sensaciones sutiles, mezclando tonos, buscando transmitir paz.
Obras como la titulada ‘Paisaje sureño’ nos adentra en la percepción de una pintora que, más que pintar paisajes, capta atmósferas que derivan de un interior refinado. O, en otras, como ‘El gran volcán’, en la que plasma el poder del mismo en mitad de la presencia del paisaje, el verdor de las praderas, dentro de un contraste emocional asentado. Sus paisajes son entornos privilegiados, donde el color determina la acción dentro de unos parámetros en los que lo más significativo es la voluntad de mostrar una singularidad que expresa lo sutil en lo real dentro de una perspectiva emocional y vivencial.

Elsa Ottonello’s landscapes are subtle, because she does not describe in detail its components, but she seeks to capture their idiosyncrasy, without shaping in detail.
She does not try to cover the landscape evidence, but its essence by reinterpreting it. They are like sensitive and sensorial evocations that recall aspects of the conscience, thoughts and sensations contained in the perfume of the place’s air.
Her stages cover from landscapes and southern coasts, the great volcano to themes about cliffs, without using excessively vivid colours, since she prefers to provide subtle sensations, mixing tones, searching to transmit peace.
Works such as the one entitled ‘Paisaje sureño’ [Southern Landscape] make us go into the perception of a painter who, instead of painting landscapes, captures atmospheres that come from a refined inner-self. Or, in other works, such as ‘El gran volcán’ [The great volcano], where she gives expression to the power of the volcano in the middle of the landscape’s presence, the green of the fields within a settled emotional contrast. Her landscapes are privileged environments where colours determine actions within parameters where what is most meaningful is the will to show a singularity that express subtlety within the real in an emotional and living perspective.
